Impressions of MEI

This is my second time to learn English in the U.S. But this is my first time to attend MEI. Before the MEI class started, I came to the school to see the environment, and my first impression was that the school is very big.

Now, we have had classes for about one week. All of the teachers are very nice, and they have a lot of programs to help us to improve our English. I think this is very good for us. And the classmates are nice, too. But it’s a little hard to make friends from other places. Maybe after a few weeks, we know each other more and more. Then I think I can make friends more easier.

A friend from another country is a gift that not everyone has the opportunity to have in their life. I have been blessed with close friends from several different cultures, and I treasure these friendships.

Sharing an experience (such as taking a class together) can be a basis for a friendship. Good luck in finding friends this semester!

Hello~!
My name is Hiromi and I'm from Japan. I visited UM this summer to participate the program made by MEI, and I was a student of Nina's class for 2 weeks!

Anyway, I agree with your first impression of the school. Since I'm not so good at directions, I followed my friends to go to the place I had to be! Also, even though I stayed the US just for 2 weeks, I think the first week is the hardest because everything is new for you! I really hope that you'll soon start making friens!
